Organise an equal day with your group/club/school/class and join us and others like you from 18th to 23rd March 2026.
This “equal day” may be a big event like a celebration, stargazing, or small like an activity with your class.
It is all up to you.

The idea of the project EQUAL DAY is that each participant should organise one EVENT from 18th to 23rd March 2026 and register it here on our website.

This event should consist of:

One or more activities by your choice
A mandatory activity (choose one or more of the following activities: Creative photography, a Message of peace, song and dance or Zoom meeting).

Mandatory activities

Creative photography

Design a creative photography/painting/media content during your equal day event referencing equality, peace and astronomy and post it on your or your institution social media with #equalday2026 tag @equaldayevent.

A message of peace

Write a message of equality, peace, diversity, sustainability and empathy through astronomy in your native language, take a picture and post it on your or your institution social media with #equalday2026 tag @equaldayevent (and/or send it to us through contact form).

Organisers of the event can participate in one of the two different zoom meetings on 23rd of March (according to timezones) to present their event in 3 minutes.

Choose a part of the official Equal Day song and:

🎤 Sing a verse or the chorus
💃 Create a short dance or movement performance

You can participate individually, in small groups, or as a whole class.

Take a video of your performance and post it on your or your institution’s social media with

Eratosthenes Experiment 2025: You can join the global activity of calculating the circumference of the Earth by using eLearning educational tools and simple instruments. The experiment will take place on March 20th, 2025.
